Any Unquoted (AUQ)

Laying the Any Unquoted Score (AUQ) in the Correct Score market on Betfair can be a great way to make money on Betfair, especially when punters' emotions are involved.

Any Unquoted is any score which is 4 or more to either side. You'll notice that every score up to 3-3 is covered. Any score over 3-3 is Any Unquoted.

If you're looking at a screen showing scores of 4-1, 5-0 etc then you're in Correct Score 2, which is occasionally available on games which Betfair think will be particularly high scoring. For the purposes of the AUQ lay, you need Correct Score or Correct Score 1. (That may sound simple, but you'd be surprised how many people make this mistake!!)

In terms of emotional attachment to games, as traders we must try to be as impartial as possible. Some of the best games to trade are England International games. This is because a lot of punters in the UK simply back England blindly with thousands of pounds, no matter who England are playing.

This distorts the odds, and makes England firmer favourites than they otherwise would be, especially at Wembley.

Of course, this also makes the odds for more goals shorter. Markets like the Over 1.5 and 2.5 will plummet and so will the Any Unquoted Score.

Because of the punters' constant backing of England, the market is now expecting England to comfortably beat the opposition, by four or five.

This is great for the trader! The more the market price comes in, the lower odds we'll have available for us to lay. And when it comes to laying, the lower the odds, the less risk you have.

So with England games, because of the above, we could lay AUQ in the Correct Score market at anything from 4 to 5, which provides fantastic value for the trader.

Remember, we don't need the match to finish with less than four goals. It could finish 9-0 for all we care, SO LONG AS we are able to trade out before the goals go flying in!
